Resource for Leader Evaluations

One of the themes that came up in a recent conversation with Classis Georgetown pastors relates to annual reviews/evaluation.  The spirit of that conversation was:

  • Pastors and church staff should have annual reviews
  • Annual reviews are often not done, or, not done well (or wait until there is a problem or crisis)
  • Good pastoral ministry involves ensuring that reviews are done (for the church’s and pastor’s good)

Pastors also wondered together, “what could regional pastors do to help pastors and congregations to do annual reviews, and, do them well?”  There are not only helpful exercises in this booklet, but also some good starting templates at the back.
